Desain laptop Dell Inspiron 14, tampak tak berbeda dengan netbook Dell Inspiron Mini 9 dan Mini 10. Hal ini dikarenakan designer Dell mencoba untuk membangun notebook yang memiliki idnetitas untuk masing-masing tipe, seperti semua laptop Inspiron akan tampak sama, laptop Studio yang juga akan tampak sama. Ketika di-launching, Dell Inspiron 14 ini akan hadir dengan warna  Obsidian Black, Alpine White, Cherry Red, Ice Blue, Promise Pink, Jade Green, dan Passion Purple.
